The primary responsibility of the Apartment Maintenance Technician is to maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community.  This involves ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors.

The Apartment Maintenance Technician will inspect the apartment community in order to enhance and maintain its curb appeal and perform service requests in occupied apartments, and ensure all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to “market rentable” condition in a timely manner.

The Healthy Families Home Visiting Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for building trusting relationships with families based on the Healthy Families America model. The FSS will visit families in their homes to provide support in establishing positive home environments, promote strong attachments through the parent child relationships, and encourage the well-being of children and families. Utilizing an infant mental health approach, the FSS will practice reflective strategies to strengthen parent-child relationships, improve parenting skills, teach effective problem-solving, and reduce family stress.

Home Visiting 90%

• Develops strategies to positively engage families in voluntary services through a trusting relationship.
• Complete initial enrollment visits with family and completes Parent Survey assessment.
• Schedules and provides regular home visits with families in accordance to KCSL Healthy Families policies and procedures.
• Conduct ongoing screens and assessments such as the ASQ, ASQ-SE, EPDS, and other tools required by the program.
• Implements research based curriculum, Growing Great Kids, during home visits with families.
• Supports and guides families in the development of the Family Goal Plan, and encourages families in achieving identified goals.
• Assist family in monitoring medical needs including well child visits and immunizations, and helps them overcome barriers to meeting these needs.
• Uses reflective strategies such as normalizing, explore and wonder, and accentuate the positive, to help strengthen parent child relationships.
• Refers and connects families to additional KCSL services and other community resources that could help strengthen the family and build protective factors. May include providing occasional transportation for families to access community resources.
• Assist with planning and delivery of group events for program families.
• Documents observations of children and families through weekly home visit notes and completes requirement documentation in accordance with program expectations.
• Meets weekly with supervisor for supervision to reflect on work with families and review interventions and documentation.

Other Duties 10%
• Completes training required by program including Foundations for Family Success, Parent Survey, Growing Great Kids, and other required topics.
• Assists with outreach through community fairs and other events that help build awareness of program.
• Attends regular team meetings and participates in supporting other team members as needed.
• Attends communities meetings as needed.


Work Environment Office and participant homes.
Lifting Requirements Up to 25 pounds.
Travel Requirements Must have vehicle in good condition; able to travel to and from family homes and transport participants to appointments.
Other Must have a home telephone and/or mobile phone and be willing to handle emergency or crisis situation with the assistance of the supervisor. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, pass all required background checks.

The Business Office Staff position is accountable to assist in the daily operations of the agency in a professional manner that provides quality services with dignity, provides fair treatment of employees and maintains an ongoing liaison among the clients and agency staff.   The business office staff is also responsible for the direct care of agency clients as stated in the individual’s plan of care.

Community Care Connections is a member of the Medicalodges, Inc. family.  Medicalodges offers a continuum of health care options which include in-home services, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing home care, rehabilitation, specialized care, outpatient therapies, adult day care, as well as services and living assistance to those with developmental disabilities.


  • Assist the day-to-day business duties/ functions of the agency.
  • Assist BOM/HCBS Supervisor to assure that proper hiring, employment procedures and documentation requirements are followed; required background check, licenses and/or certifications are current on all employees
  • Maintain records regarding Employees and Consumers per state and federal laws and Medicalodges, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Working in a fully cooperative and positive manner with the Service Center, the BOM, the Agency Director and outside consultants to improve and maintain the business operations of the Agency.
  • Working within the business accounting system established by Medicalodges, Inc.
  • Assist or prepare and submit all business reports required by the Medicalodges, Inc, BOM Agency Director, state and federal agencies in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Accountable that all admissions are correctly handled with proper documentation for full payment for services provided. Assuring and assisting that all requirements are met to ensure full and prompt reimbursement including but not limited to, Medicaid (HCBS waiver funds) and/or private pay.
  • Assist when necessary that all payrolls/timesheets are accurate and done in a timely manner per Community Care Connections/ Medicalodges, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Assist when necessary that all end of the month billing hours and forms are complete, accurate and emailed/fax to the main office as directed by the BOM, HCBS Supervisor. (Failure to do so results in the untimely closure of the end of the month records and untimely billing.) Repeated mistakes on payroll, billing hours or client information or untimely submission my result in suspension and/or termination.
  • Assisting the BOM, HCBS Supervisor and or Agency Director that appropriate personnel and backup personnel are available, or are in training, for all positions of the Agency under the direction of the Program Supervisor and or Agency Director. Must be able to work in the field.


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimally one year of Office management experience in the healthcare field preferred.
  • On call as necessary
  • Ability to organize the business operations of the Agency effectively.
  • Current Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
